Robert Beck
Robert “Bobby” Kukilakila Beck, 72, of Naalehu died April 21, 2017, at his residence. Born Nov. 25, 1944, in Hilo, he held various jobs such as a fisherman, opihi picker and a pineapple picker and retired as a plumber. He was a veteran for the Hawaii Army National Guard and the U.S. Navy and a member of the Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church, HI-LO Golf Club and the Plumber’s Fitted Union.
Friends may call for visitation from 8-10:30 a.m. May 20 at Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church for an 11 a.m. Mass. Aloha attire. Flowers and lei are welcomed. Burial will be at the Naalehu Community Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at the Naalehu Club House.
He is survived by daughters, Pearl (David) Kuahiwinui of Green Sands, Joyceline (Gilbert Loando) Beck of Kona, and Vera (Jason) Ward of Duvall, Wash.; sons, Robert (Leiko) Beck of Kona, Roland Beck of Naalehu; brothers, Julian (Betty) Beck of Naalehu, Lincoln (Sina) Beck of Kona, Ruby (Tae Hui) Gabonia of Hilo, Calvin (Celestine) Gabonia of Virginia, Glen (Debbie) Gabonia of Washington; sisters, Darlene (Winslow) Vierra of Naalehu, Alohalyn Beck of South Point, Anareita Beck of Hilo, Wanda (Roland) Gionson of Pearl City, Oahu, Linda Ann (Brad) Baker of Missouri; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Satsuki Unoki
Satsuki Unoki, 85, of Hakalau died May 6, 2017, at her residence. Born in Olaa, she was a retired teacher and counselor at Kalanianaole Elementary and Intermediate School and a member of the Hilo Coast United Church of Christ.
Friends may call 9:30–11 a.m. May 20 at the Hilo Coast United Church of Christ in Honomu. A celebration of her life will begin at 11. Casual attire.
She is survived by husband, Richard Unoki of Hakalau; son, Robert (Tracy) Unoki of Washington; daughters, Lynne (Walter) Klaft of Massachusetts, Joyce Unoki of Hilo; sisters, Yvonne Nakamura, Gladys Suzuki, both of Hilo; six grandchildren, one great-grandson, numerous nieces and nephews.

Milton Morikami
Milton Hisashi Morikami, 91, of Hilo died May 9, 2017, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 22, 1925, in Kainaliu, he served in the Army and was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, earning many various medals and awards. He also retired as a postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Hilo, National Association of Retired Federal Employees 1563, Big Island Retired Military Association, American Legion Post 16, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 9.
Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. May 21 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, followed by a 4 p.m. funeral service. A graveside committal service will be held at noon May 22 at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. The family requests casual attire, no flowers and no monetary donations.
He is survived by wife, LaVerne Morikami of Keaau; son, Francis (Winifred) Morikami of Hilo; daughters, Candace Lee of Hilo, Joyce Fleming of San Diego, Lorna Wilson of Hilo, Myra (Stephen) Lodge of Mililani, Oahu; step daughters, Charlotte (Michael) Borges of Henderson, Nev., Charlene (David) Chock of Hilo, Clareen (Ben) Alonzo of Keaau; brother, Melvin (Carolyn) Morikami of Honolulu; sister, Daisy (Alvin) Suezaki of Kealakekua; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
