More than 1,500 parents, friends, aunties and uncles came to support keiki from Kahakai Elementary School for their May Day celebration Friday evening.

The May Day Court, included Mo’i Kane (King) Duke Kalau DeGuair and Mo’i Wahine (Queen) Zoe Fetiahereotearaiura Oilikalaiopua Kimitete, plus a prince, princess, kahili bearer and lady in waiting representing the eight Hawaiian Islands.

The court, along with each grade level performed hula for the audience. Special guests, students from Japan representing the Seisa Education group entertained the audience with a traditional folk dance.
