Mr. Richard Gillette, in a letter to the editor published on April 14, put forth an opinion in regards to dissolution of the Waikoloa Village Association, in which he stated that it would require a vote of 75 percent of the membership to dissolve.
Sorry, Mr. Gillette, you are wrong again. The governing documents specifically state that dissolution can occur upon the vote of 75 percent of the membership present at a meeting duly called.
That is the correct interpretation per esteemed parliamentarian Steve Glanstein and my own interpretation. Quorum requirement has been lowered to 20 percent of the membership, i.e. 607. Not 75 percent of the entire, 75 percent of 607.

Who’s real threat
to the citizens?
Everyday we read about a threat to our freedom. If it’s not the Democrats then it’s the Republicans or it’s the county council or the president.
Today’s headline was the “Spittlebug,” then we have to throw in North Korea. Well, I think the biggest threat to the citizens of Hawaii and especially the Big Island is the DLNR and DOBOR
