KAILUA-KONA – Approximately 2,500 people attended the 36th annual Sonrise Service Sunday morning at Old Kona Airport Park.

KAILUA-KONA – Approximately 2,500 people attended the 36th annual Sonrise Service Sunday morning at Old Kona Airport Park.

Pastors from 18 churches who participate in the Kona Ministers’ Fellowship brought the faithful together for a morning of praise and worship as the sun came up over Hualalai.

Pastor Kealoha Kaopua started the service at 6 a.m. with an oli.

An all minister band led praise music, and hula halau from Kona churches performed.

A keiki message was given by Pastor Bruce Campbell of Grace Community Church, and founding member David Rees-Thomas, Pastor of Calvary Community Church, delivered an inspirational Easter message.
