Eugenia Esteban
Eugenia Delapena Esteban, 66, of Hilo died March 27, 2017, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Oct. 4, 1950, in Laguilayan, Isulan, Sulfan Kudarat, Philippines, she was employed by Hawaiian Linen Supply.
Friends may from 5-7:30 p.m. April 9 for visitation with a 7:30 p.m. service. Casual attire and no flowers. Cremation to follow at Dodo Mortuary Crematory.
She is survived by husband, Armenio Esteban of Hilo; sons, Baltazar (Bhing Torma) Esteban and Carlos Esteban of Philippines; daughters, Esmeralda Esteban and Espernaza (Jimmy) Sapon of Philippines; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Herminigildo Almazan
Herminigildo “Herman” “Undong” “Papa” Almazan, 89, of Keaau died March 26, 2017, at home. Born April 2, 1927, in 8 1/2 mile Camp in Keaau, he was a retired harvesting crane and tractor operator for the former Puna Sugar Co.
Friends may call for visitation at 10 a.m. April 11 at Dodo Mortuary chapel with an 11 a.m. service. Aloha attire and no flowers.
He is survived by wife, Cecilia Almazan of Keaau; daughters, Marisha (Mat) Cole, Anna (Derek Otomo) Almazan, Cynthia Almazan and Hercelia (Joray) Kaua, all of Keaau, Sabrina (Tom Fitzsimons) of San Leandro, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and nine-great-grandchildren; sister, Margarita Jaravata, Philippines; numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan Kaaiai
Joan Aileen Mattos Kaaiai, 85, of Maunalaha, Oahu died March 19, 2017, at home. She was a member of Hale O Na Alii and was a retired real estate principal broker for Ferry and Associates, a loan officer at Kaneohe Marine Corp Hawaii, kupuna at Manoa Elementary School and a hula dancer with Kodak Hula Show.
Public viewing will be at 10:30 a.m. April 13 at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe, Oahu, with an 11:30 a.m. service. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Aloha attire is requested. Lei are welcome.
She is survived by husband, Thomas Kaaiai Sr. of Oahu; sons, Thomas Kaaiai Jr., John Kaaiai and Guy Kaaiai, all of Oahu, Lane Kaaiai of Kona and Oahu, and Brian Kaaiai of Reno, Nev.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Bruce Tapp
Bruce Kearsley Tapp, 65, of Hilo died March 25, 2017, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Knoxville, Tenn., he was a retired electrician with the Signal Department of the New York City Transit System and a member of the Hustlers Golf Club, 1-3 Golf Club and Duffers Golf Club.

He is survived by wife, Akiko Tapp of Hilo; mother, Lillian Tapp of Virginia; sister, Susan Tapp of Virginia.
