Hawaii Wildlife Center representatives will discuss their new science and discovery center from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus.

Michelle Reynolds will be on hand to talk about the Laysan duck translocation project and Samantha Christie, wildlife rehabilitation manager, will give an update on wildlife patients at the hospital. To help raise funds for the wildlife hospital and science center, Hawaii Wildlife Center will sell logo shirts and symbolic adoptions.

Also, a tour will be offered April 13. Participants will meet at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus at 9 a.m. and carpool to Hawaii Wildlife Center. Transportation will be provided but space is limited. Cost is $20 and pre-registration is required. Call Volcano Art Center at 967-8222 to reserve a space.
