Free bamboo stamping offered in Kawaihae
On March 22 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Puukohola Heiau National Historic Site will host Ohe Kapala Kii, a free public event to celebrate the traditional culture of Hawaii at the park’s visitor center. It will include a cultural demonstration by Chantal Chung and George Place where participants can learn how to design and make their own stamp, known as ohe kapala, or use one of theirs.
The event is sponsored by Hawaii Pacific Parks Association.
