The luau grounds at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel were a flurry of activity Friday as workers and volunteers set up for today’s 22nd Annual Kona Brewers Festival. The sold out charitable event will have two sessions, noon to 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., where about 4,000 people are expected to be a part of the two.

It’s not all suds and gluttony, though. It all kicks off with the 10th annual Run for Hops this morning around the old industrial park, where health conscious folks will run 5 or 10 kilometers before turning their attention to, well, suds and gluttony.
