Dorothy M. Pung, 81, of Hilo died Feb. 19, 2017, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, she was a retired president and CEO with HFS Federal Credit Union.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. March 12 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 4 p.m. memorial service. The family requests that casual attire be worn.
She is survived by son, Karlson (Kathy) Pung of Hilo; brother, Gabriel (Maxine) Moniz Jr. of Hilo; sisters, Gertrude Miprano of Hilo, Gladys (Allan) Oyama of Kaneohe, Oahu; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Jack Odani Sr.
Jack K. Odani, Sr., 75, of Hilo died Feb. 24, 2017, at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 17, 1941, in Hilo, he was a retired park caretaker and a retired member of the Army Reserve.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. March 12 at Dodo Mortuary chapel with a 10 a.m. celebration of life. An urn committal with military honors will be at noon, March 14 at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire; flowers and lei are welcomed.
He is survived by son, Jack (Sharmaene) Odani Jr. of Puyailup, Wash.; one grandson; brother, William Abraham of Kawaihae; sister, Ruth Papalimu of Hilo; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey Pihi
Jeffrey “Jeff” Keith Pihi, 58, of Volcano died Feb. 15, 2017, at home. Born March 20, 1958, in Ka’u, he was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Private services were held.
He is survived by wife, Monica Pihi of Volcano; daughter, Erin Pihi of Volcano; brother, Robert (Donna) Pihi of Eden Roc; sisters, Bernadette (Carlos) Navor, Carla Mae Castillo, all of Keaau and Noelani Castillo of Washington; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
