Ahelicopter was seen transporting kiawe wood from the

shoreline to a lava field fronting Kaloko Honokohau National Historical Park on Friday Morning.

The trees were cut as part of the program to remove invasive species from the park. Wood was loaded into dumpsters and taken to the green waste facility to be turned into mulch for the community’s use.
