Workshop explores self-publishing books
“How to Self-publish Your Book: Hardback, Softback or eBooks in Six Easy Steps” will be offered from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Kona Stories Book Store in Keauhou Shopping Center.
Teacher Robert Frutos will share the many aspects of successful self-publishing including the best self-publishing options available, startup costs, royalty payments, and the benefits and disadvantages of self-publishing vs. traditional publishing.

Kona Amateur Radio Society meets
The Kona Amateur Radio Society meets from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the south end of Wawaloli Beach Park at NELHA.
All members, friends, and those interested in amateur (HAM) radio are invited. Attendees are encouraged to bring a Cajun dish to share during the Mardi Gras themed potluck. The group meets on the fourth Sunday of each month.

Massage school hosts open house
Medical Massage Center and Academy will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
A raffle, pupu, refreshments and 20-minute massages will be offered. Those interested in the school program can enroll that day and get $100 off of their tuition. New classes start March 15.

Hawaii Electric Light to conduct aerial line inspections
To improve system reliability, Hawaii Electric Light Co. will conduct aerial line inspections of its major overhead transmission lines from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday.
Exact times and routes will depend on weather conditions. Inspections will be conducted in a Manuiwa Airways helicopter and require the aircraft to fly low and slow. Hawai’i Electric Light apologizes for any disruption this may cause.
