The school received the information from Crime Stoppers Canada, Lindsay Chambers, HDOE spokeswoman, said in an email to West Hawaii Today.
Kealakehe high administrators conducted a threat assessment then immediately cleared and secured the campus. School custodial staff, security, and administrators conducted a sweep of the school and no device was found.
A message will be sent to parents tonight via their Synervoice system sharing this information and asking them to share anything that can assist in the investigation, she said.
