On Feb. 2, the guest speaker at Waimea Community Association’s February Town Meeting will be Lt. Thomas A. Shopay III with the Hawaii Police Department’s Special Response Team.
He will share a presentation on “Active Shooter Awareness” that is recommended for all adults. Newly sworn in Police Chief Paul Ferreira will also be introduced and speak briefly.
The meeting begins at 5:15 p.m. at Waimea School Cafeteria.
