Albert Gouveia Sr.
Albert Gouveia Sr., 78, of Hilo died Jan. 20, 2017. He retired as a maintenance worker for Lanakila Housing Inc.

He is survived by wife, Frances Gouveia of Hilo; sons Albert Gouveia Jr. of Hilo, Michael (Diana Freeman) Gouveia of Pahoa, John Gouveia of Pepeekeo, Clifford (Ann) Gouveia of Mountain View, Bobby (Tina Cavillis) Gouveia of Keaau and Marcus (Monica) Gouveia of Pahoa; daughter, Francine (Don Gonsalves) Teixeira of Keaau; sisters, Emily Rerell of California and May Toro of Oahu; 35 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Albert Torres Gonsalves, 86, of Pahoa died Jan. 11, 2017, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born May 12, 1930, in Honolulu, he was a retired maintenance worker at Lockheed Missiles and Space Co.
Visitation only will be held from 9-11 a.m. Feb. 4 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo. Casual attire is requested.
He is survived by sons, Joseph (Mihaela) Gonsalves of Vicenza, Italy, Albert (Angie) Gonsalves Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina, Alan (Tracy) Gonsalves, Peter (Ronnette) Gonsalves, all of Pahoa, Adam (Jennie) Gonsalves of Fremont, Calif.; daughters, Teresa (Hector) Castillo of Modesto, Calif., Sabrina Gonsalves of Nanawale and Tabitha Robertson of Pahoa; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Charles DeWitt
Charles Anthony DeWitt, 88, of Hawi died Jan. 18, 2017, at home. Born April 5, 1928, in Union, Iowa, he was a Navy veteran, a retired dredge operator and maintenance supervisor for Waikoloa Land Co. and Ocean Sports Hawaii.
He is survived wife, Emily; son, David (Tiffany) DeWitt of Litchfield Park, Ariz.; daughters, Dorothy McDaniel of Honolulu; Vynetta DeWitt of Sacramento, Calif.; sister, Barbara Albertoni of Solvang, Calif.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
