Leilani Joaquin

Leilani Adelaide Joaquin, 86, of Kailua, Oahu, died Jan. 11, 2017, in Ocean View. Born Jan. 8, 1931, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker.

Funeral services are scheduled at 9 a.m. Jan. 27 at Borthwick Mortuary, Oahu. Burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

She is survived by son, John Joaquin of Ocean View; sister, Ethel Richardson of Kohala, Oahu; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Lucille Yamamoto

Lucille Toshiyo Yamamoto, 95, of Honokaa, died Dec. 28, 2016, at the North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Jan. 11, 1921, in Kapulena, she was a member of the Honokaa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

Private services held. No flowers. No monetary offerings.

She is survived by sons, Rodney Yamamoto of Hawaiian Beaches, Stanley (Elaine) Yamamoto of Kukuihaele, Ivan (Colette) Yamamoto of Hilo, Dane (Joellyn Tadio) Yamamoto of Honokaa and Brian (Avis) Yamamoto of Kealakekua; daughters, Eileen Windrath of Honokaa and Janis (Thomas Bianchi) Yamamoto of Honaunau; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

James Shilzony

James Victor Shilzony, 68, of Ocean View died Jan. 9, 2017, in Ocean View. Born Feb. 18, 1948, in Mill Valley, Calif., he served in the Navy and was master mechanic of auto electrical systems.

He is survived by brother, Fred (Meg) Shilzony of Mill Valley, Calif.
