Helen Kaui Iokia, 70, of Hilo died Dec. 27, 2016, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honokaa, she was a homemaker and former secretary at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home.
A celebration of her life will take place from 11 a.m. Jan. 15 at the Wailoa State Park Pavilion No. 2. Casual attire.
She is survived by son, Clinton (Ash Mahi) Iokia, daughter, Celeste (Dave Smith) Iokia; hanai daughters, Missy Valentine, Kapuamohala Mahi-Iokia; brother, William (Alethea) Konanui; sisters, Isabelle Gonzales, Myra Auna; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.

Ella Hanohano
Ella Lovina Kealaonapualani Mano Hanohano, 77, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 27, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born November 25, 1939, in Kailua-Kona, she was a cashier at McDonald’s, a waitress at the former Ocean View Inn and former Kona Hilton Hotel. She was a rental agent at Marquez’s U-Drive and Holiday Rent a Car and an attendant at the former Ann Ka’s Leis. She was a member of Kai O Pua Canoe Club, Alu Like Kupuna and Na Wai Iwiola Kupuna.
A celebration of life will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Old Kona Airport Makaeo Pavilion. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome.
She is survived by son, Nelson Hano (Abbie) Hanohano of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Nohokula (George) Kahananui of Kailua-Kona; brother, Apolei Lima of Waikoloa; sisters, Kali (Bobby) Macaysa of Hilo, Pearl Akao of Kailua-Kona, Mewlang (Henry) Alameda of Makakilo, Oahu, and Libbie (Larry) Grocox of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one hanai great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

George Seigo Yuda, 82, of Hilo died Dec. 24, 2016, at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was an attorney at George S. Yuda Attorney at Law, retired per diem judge for the Hawaii State District Courts and Family Courts, member of the Hawaii Bar Association and Panaewa Kumiai.
