Vacationers and residents can choose from new grab-and-go “beach-friendly” food options with the debut of Puako Provisions and Catering at Puako General Store.
The operation is directed by Noah Hester, former executive chef and manager of Blue Dragon Restaurant in Kawaihae, which closed earlier this year.
Puako Provisions and Catering offers salads, sandwiches on freshly-baked breads and poke bowls. Weekly specials from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. also include handmade pizza. The chef uses seasonal, organic products sourced locally from land and sea whenever possible, priced affordably.
They also provide catered food, picnic baskets and special order meals for pickup or home delivery.
