Frank Efram
Frank Efram, 65, of Waikoloa died Nov. 17, 2016, at Hale Hoola in Honokaa. Born Oct. 17, 1951, in Ujelang, Marshall Islands, he was a high chief with the Marshallese government.
An all-night vigil will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at Jonithen Jackson’s residence in Ocean View. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Naalehu County Cemetery.
He is survived by wife, Newyear Jabjulan of Waikoloa; sons, John Abraham and Roger Abraham, both of Waikoloa; daughters, Alwina Abraham and Rosme Abraham, both of Waikoloa; sisters, Lina (Riksalomon) Paul of Ocean View and Limanke (Alexander) Episan of Marshall Islands; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lorrin Henry
Lorrin Keala Henry, 83, of Hilo died Nov. 21, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Feb. 7, 1933, in Hilo, he was a retired fire dispatcher, a former motor vehicle registration employee and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Hilo Jaycees, the Hilo Bowling Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. Dec. 8 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo with a 6 p.m. service. Visitation will continue from 9-10:30 a.m. Dec. 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo with a 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass. Burial will follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
He is survived by daughters, Erin Lee (Edmund Sr.) Daog , Ru Ann (Gabriel) Oshiro, both of Hilo; son, Shayne Henry of Hilo; hanai sons, Ikaika (Latoya) Kaili, Chawn Kaili, both of Hilo; hanai daughter, Cheylan (Avelino) Lee of Taylorsville, Utah; brother, Lloyd (Franell) Henry of Hilo; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

George Gines, 74, of Keaau died Oct. 28, 2016, at Pohai Malama. Born Feb. 16, 1942, in Honolulu, he was a process server for the Sheriff’s Department and a tile and carpet setter for Mike’s Flooring and Tony’s Floor Covering.
A celebration of life is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 10 at Kakaako Park in Honolulu with a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire. Lei are welcomed. Condolences may be posted at homelanimemorialpark.com.

Edna Takeko Maeda, 82, of Hilo died Nov. 28, 2016, in Hilo. Born Oct. 12, 1934, in Honolulu, she was a housewife and member of the Waiakea Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Friends may call at 1 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Waiakea Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2629 Kilauea Avenue for a 2:30 p.m. service. Family requests no flowers.
She is survived by husband, Donald Maeda of Hilo; sons, Dennis (Punett) Maeda, Dwight Maeda, and Douglas Maeda, all of Hilo, Darrel Maeda of Seattle; sister, Irene Imazaki of Honolulu; five grandchildren, a niece, a grandniece, and a great-grandniece.
