Hawaii Island police are renewing their request for the public’s help in locating a 27-year-old Hilo woman wanted on an outstanding bench warrant.
Leilani Torres is described as 5-foot-4, 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She has a butterfly tattoo on her left ankle, and “Lei” tattooed on her back. She is also wanted for questioning in connection with other investigations.
Police ask anyone who knows her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line a 935-3311 or contact Officer Donovan Kohara at 961-2272 or donovan.kohara@hawaiicounty.gov.
Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
Police are also searching for a 16-year-old Hilo girl who was reported missing.
Mariah Gonsalves was last seen in Hilo on Dec. 1.
She is described as part Hawaiian, 5-foot-7, 215 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt over a pink T-shirt, jeans and gray-and-pink shoes. She was carrying a neon pink/orange duffle bag.
Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
