Holualoa Music and Light Festival Saturday
The Holualoa Village Association will kick-off the holiday season with its 20th annual Music and Light Festival from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Santa will begin the festivities with a tour through the village at 5:30 in his convertible sleigh and spend the rest of the night visiting with keiki in his tent next to the post office. Every child who sits with Santa and tells him of their Christmas wishes will receive a small gift while the ohana snaps photos.
All along the half-mile stretch of Mamalahoa Highway there will be holiday and Hawaiian music including John Keawe at the pink Kona Hotel and a variety of musicians on the lanai of the villages art studios and shops. Galleries will offer pupu and specials on their art. Vendors of crepes, pizza, gourmet hot dogs, pastries and other treats will serve up fresh street foods all evening.
