Lily Matsumoto
Lily Sumiye Matsumoto, 90, of Hilo died Oct. 27, 2016, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker and a member of the Higashi Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii in Liliha and the Pearl City Lions Club.
Friends may call from 5:30-6 p.m. Nov. 21 at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel on Oahu for a 6 p.m. memorial service. Casual attire.
She is survived by son, Keith (Starnani) Matsumoto of Hilo; brother, George (Florence) Sasabuchi of California; three grandchildren, one great-grandson, numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert Kita
Albert Mitsuo Kita, 77, of Hawi died Nov. 4, 2016, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born May 3, 1939, in North Kohala, he was a retired landscaper for Mauna Lani Resort, a plantation worker for the former Kohala Plantation, a member of Kohala Gospel of Salvation, a U.S. Army veteran and an Army National Guardsman.

Dorothy “Dot” Jane Kita, 83, of Hawi died Nov. 4, 2016, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Sept. 21, 1933, in Waimea, Kauai, she was a homemaker, former pantry worker for Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, housekeeper and landscaper for Hyatt Regency Waikoloa, a Kawaihae harbor security guard and a former plantation worker for Kohala Plantation. She was also a member of Kohala Gospel of Salvation.

William Medeiros
William “Hanson” Medeiros, 68, of Honolulu died Oct. 18, 2016, at Tripler Army Medical Center on Oahu. Born April 30, 1948, in Hilo, was a certified welder with Hilo Sheet Metal prior to enlisting in the Armed Forces of the United States in which he earned many accolades, including the Purple Heart.
A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
He survived by brother, Michael (Hankie) Medeiros of Kawaihae; sisters, Ramona (Bill) Ferreira of Kuna, Idaho; Gayle (Victor) Fergerstrom, Penny (Bert) Miranda, all of Waimea; and nieces and nephews.
Takie Yoshida
Takie Sakuma Yoshida, 96, of Pepeekeo died Nov. 7, 2016, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Nov. 4, 1920, in Papaikou, she was a homemaker and member of Hakalau Jodo Mission and Fujinkai, Hakalau Senior Center and Kamana Senior Center.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
She is survived by daughter, Naomi (Efren) Strain of Fairfax, Va.; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Sarah Kilkenny
Sarah Suzette Kilkenny, 36, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 15, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born July 28, 1980, in Nampa, Idaho, she was a homemaker and a former sales associate for Lowe’s and Home Depot.

She is survived by husband, John Kilkenny; daughters, Lily Kilkenny, Violet Kilkenny, all of Kailua-Kona; mother, Christine Barrietu; father, Paul Wilson; brother, Jared Wilson; sisters, Jennifer Wilson, Kelsey Averett, all of Idaho.
