Precinct crews did great
Precinct crews did great
Many people registered before this last election. Ocean View had only 300 registered voters yet we processed over 600 voters on Nov 8. A few were not in the state system as registered and the head office did give me the provisional ballot a couple of times. These people had their yellow cards with them. But congratulations to all those who did get registered and mahalo nui loa to our precinct crew who worked hard and was courteous to everyone.

Voter apathy mind-boggling
To the millions of registered Democrats across the country who did not go out and vote this presidential election, my only question for you is, what in God’s name were you thinking? We have the most important presidential election in modern times as far as what direction our country will be taking over the next four years, and you chose to sit out?
Unfortunately, you will need to carry the burden of having passed on an opportunity to avoid the immense damage that will be done to our country over the next four years as a result of Mr. Trump’s policies regarding women’s rights, the environment, minorities, LGBT rights, the economy, and frankly how human beings interact and treat each other.
One can already see a level of intolerance in America today toward those who are “different” than I have seen in my entire adult life, and Mr. Trump has set this tone.
My fellow Democrats, allow me to impart a bit of advice for you. The next time the Ku Klux Klan formally endorses a Republican presidential candidate, as they did for Mr. Trump, that might be a good sign that you should put down the remote control and take 30 minutes out of your day to vote for the opposing candidate. I guarantee it will be time well spent, and with the stakes what they are, a very small sacrifice to make.

Protesting shows what is wrong
Remember in 2008 and 2012 the rioting and looting by conservative Republicans upset over the election of Obama? Yeah, right. The present day civil lawlessness due to Donald Trump’s victory for president is a part of the reason he was elected. To quote JFK, a former Democratic president,“ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

The people have spoken
To all the Trump naysayers, the people have spoken. You lost, it’s time to get over it and move on. Hopefully, together.
This is a much brighter world for those who care to see America turn back to God than getting one last flush down the toilet, and America is gone forever. Never to return again.
That is precisely where we stood in this election.
I’m grateful to all those evangelicals, and other faiths who wanted America back and stood up for those principals we once were founded upon, albeit many are afraid to say so.
This was not about a man or a woman; it’s much bigger than that. It was about getting back to basic moral principles that are almost nonexistent in many lives these days. To see the renewed human spirit to finally stand up and take a stand for those Godly and “American principals” is overwhelmingly bright again.
Sniveling is unattractive in adults.
