Wayne Kaawaloa
Wayne Nakoapomaikaiikamaluokahaahaa Kaawaloa, 13, of Pahoa died Oct. 23, 2016, at Kapiolani Women and Children Hospital in Honolulu. Born April 11, 2003, in Hilo, he was a student at Pahoa School.
Visitation is planned from 9-11 a.m. Nov. 13 with an 11 a.m. service. Casual attire, flowers and lei are welcomed. Cremation will follow at Dodo Mortuary Crematory.
He is survived by mother, Angela Kaawaloa and father, Lance Kaawaloa of Pahoa; sister, Nanea Kaawaloa of Pahoa; paternal grandparents, Lionel and Deborrah Kaawaloa of Pahoa; maternal grandparent, Jerry Kaawaloa of Pahoa.

David Brown
David N. Brown, 74, of Hilo died Nov. 6, 2016, at home. Born in Madison, Tenn., he was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, retired from AmFac; HCC Instructor and an AYSO Commissioner.
Visitation will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. Nov. 15 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo with a 5 p.m. service. A graveside service with military honors will be held at noon Nov. 16 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Aloha attire. Mildred “Millie” Annie Ornellas Correa, 90, of Hilo died Nov. 2, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 11, 1926, in Hilo, she was a homemaker and a baby sitter. She also was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
A visitation is planned from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Nov. 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo with a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Casual attire; flowers and lei are welcomed; burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 1.

Rodney Keichi “Yama” Yamamoto, 74, of Keaau died Nov. 4, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born April 10, 1942, in Paauilo, he retired in Los Angeles as a draftsman.
Friends may call at 2 p.m. Nov. 16 at Homelani Memorial Park Columbarium – Japanese Garden for an urn committal service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
He is survived by wife, Toyo Yamamoto of Keaau; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Catherine Castro
Catherine Isabel Castro, 65, of Hilo died Nov. 7, 2016, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Los Angeles, she was a caregiver, former office manager and a member of Community of Christ.

Chad Garret Moniz, 36, of Mountain View died Nov. 3, 2016. Born May 8, 1980, in Hilo, he was an automotive mechanic.

William Rolph
William “Bill” Lindsay Rolph, 93, of Captain Cook died Nov. 1, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born July 27, 1923, in Paia, Maui, he was a retired operations and sales manager for Pan American Airways servicing the South Pacific regions and co-founder of Kona Mountain Coffee.
Private service held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii, 923 Nuuanu Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96817.
He is survived by sons, Ron (Gayle) Rolph of Virginia, Alan (Teri) Rolph of Texas, David (Catherine) Rolph of Washington; daughter, Margie (Bob) Kelley of Nevada; sister, Clare Wheeler of California; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Patrick McCord
Patrick Delbert McCord, 65, of Kona died Oct. 26, 2016, at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born July 1, 1951, in Denver, he was a former landscaper and groundskeeper for Hualalai Resort, and a wood carver for Ohana Carver Hawaii.

Joel Lee Loofbourrow, 73, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 14, 2016, in Oceanside Calif.
He is survived by wife, Gail; daughter, Jodi Biklian (Greg); son, Bradley (Jill) Loofbourrow; stepson, Andre Hasselmann; stepdaughter, Eva Zoeller; brother, Michael; six grandchildren.
