This past week an article came out in West Hawaii Today about Shellie A. Grace, an operator of a property management company who was indicted for allegedly not paying taxes and not making proper payments to the owners of the properties she was managing. The name of her company is Elite Property Management Services, LLC.
I am director of property management for the largest luxury real estate brokerage in Hawaii, Elite Pacific Properties. Elite Pacific Properties has 190 licensed agents in seven offices throughout the state, and has no connection whatsoever to Shellie Grace or her company, despite the similar name.
Elite Pacific Properties is often referred to as “Elite” and in addition to our luxury brokerage division, we also have a vacation rental division, a property management division, and an estate management division. People looking for Elite’s Property Management division might see the news about Shellie Grace’s company, Elite Property Management Services, and mistakenly think that the two companies are the same or are related. Nothing could be further from the truth, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify this situation. The two companies have nothing in common except the word “Elite” in their names.
Elite Pacific Properties has an impeccable reputation, backed by our A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau.
Property Management firms must be held to a high standard of honesty and ethics and have a fiduciary responsibility to their clients. Most Hawaii Property Management firms and real estate agents in general meet this high standard, and I am proud to say that Elite Pacific Properties is an industry leader in this regard. Thank you for the opportunity to clear up any confusion.
