On April 11, 1865, King Kamehameha V, via royal decree, established the Order of Kamehameha. Since that time, the order continues its work for the people of the Hawaiian Kingdom and maintains its stance since 1995 that the Kingdom of Hawaii still exists.
The membership held its 151st annual convention at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel last month where William F. Roback Jr. was again chosen by the members to represent and lead the order for his third term as Alii Nui.
The Order maintains eight chapters throughout the islands with an active membership of more than 200 kane.
