Hear, hear on Kenoi letter

Let’s bring out the real truth to the “Shibai Billy,” or as some prefer, “I’m not a crook Billy” situation. He deserves absolutely no respect from anyone, but that said, people are really stupid.

The rational I hear the most is that people know him or his ohana so that automatically makes him a good man.

Duh?

Then he has the gall to sit in the witness box, cry and tell about what a hard life he had growing up. What the hell does that have to do with anything in front of the court? Maybe it’s his excuse for his drunken behavior but it is no defense to being a thief.

“Shibai Billy” will walk away from his low life lies and thievery almost scot free. Oh yeah, he may get a smack on the hand but no one has the integrity it takes to punish him. The underlying reason for this is because he has become a very valuable commodity that is an excellent, and now proven, huge asset. “Shibai Billy” can from this day forward be counted on by anyone who hires him to have no problem being deceitful, lying about anything and everything or just being plain dishonest.

This makes him a prize possession of the Democratic Party. They will use him often and with much internal party pride knowing he will tell any lie and do any low-life chore they ask of him. When not busy lying for them he can also make a fortune from the private sector. He will make the perfect lobbyist for developers or government contractors. Although they already have a house full of liars, he will be a inside connection walking the halls of the corrupt governments of the county and state. Besides, if Billy is buying they are not going to turn down free booze.

The great news is that the smart people have elected a great man as the new mayor. His integrity and compassion are a thousand miles above reproach. We may be the only place in the US with a man of his substance.
