KAPAAU — Adults and children of all ages looking for a fun and safe Halloween night are invited to a free community event hosted for the third year by the families of Solid Rock North church.

KAPAAU — Adults and children of all ages looking for a fun and safe Halloween night are invited to a free community event hosted for the third year by the families of Solid Rock North church.

From 5-8 p.m., activities at Kamehameha Park in Kapaau will include games, contests with prizes, bounce houses and a glo putt golf course. Chili, hot dogs, shave ice, popcorn and candy will be served.

Contest grand prizes include a crab and prime rib buffet for two from Marriott Waikoloa Beach, two adult seats at the Flumin Kohala tour, two zipline passes with Kapohokine Adventures, skate decks, backpacks, a Samsung Galaxy tablet and a toddler water table.

The first 200 children to arrive will receive a pumpkin bucket and toy.

Donations are still needed for prizes and candy, as well as volunteers to help man the booths.
