Foods for Optimal Health with Dr. Deborah Ardolf, ND, SLP, will be offered from 2—3:30 p.m. on Oct. 22. Most people know which foods are healthy and which ones are not, but which foods are optimal? As a naturopathic physician, Dr. Ardolf is trained to prescribe foods as medicine to help people overcome ailments and furthermore support and maintain a healthy state of being. She will share her “top 10+ list of optimal foods.”

Yoga Basics with Janet Lam is every Monday from 8—9 a.m. Start the week with a smile, feeling balanced, flexible and strong. The class includes fundamental yoga poses students generally learn within their first year of practice. Although not specifically a beginner’s class, the movement sequence can easily accommodate students new to yoga or returning to a yoga practice.

Knitting &Knitting Support is every Tuesday from 12:30—3 p.m. with Gretchen Geisler, a lifetime knitter, pattern designer and fiber artist. The class is for ages 10 to adult at all skill levels. Bring projects, get knitting questions answered and visit with other knitters. Beginners will be guided into a suitable project.

Mama-Fit Club for Women is every Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. with Ranya, Kate, Ilene and Krish. A fun video workout is used for all levels of fitness, whether preparing the body for pregnancy or trying to get it back afterward. Keiki can play during the workout. The class is open to all women, with or without children. Wear comfortable clothes and exercise shoes. Bring water, a towel, yoga mat and lightweights or resistance bands if possible.

Legendary Wisdom Journal or How to Pass Your Memories to the Next Generations will be facilitated by Tina L. Stuart, certified hospice and palliative care nurse, interfaith minister and owner of Personal Solutions for Seniors, on Oct. 27 from 9—11 a.m. Do you ever regret not capturing some of the memories from your parents?
