Raymond Hanselman
Raymond Earl Hanselman, 77, of Hilo, died Oct. 6, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ann Arbor, Mich., he was a retired director of maintenance with Life Care Center of Hilo, a member of the Lions Club, former volunteer fire fighter in Whitmore Lake with the Northfield Fire Department, and U.S. Air Force veteran.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Oct. 18 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Burial to follow at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. The family requests that casual attire be worn.
He is survived by sons, George (Glenna) Hanselman and Shane (Alisa) Hanselman, both of Hilo; daughter, Raeana Victorino of Hilo; Sister, Ginny Hanselman of California; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Jock Aipoalani
Jock Kipiliano Aipoalani, 62, of Hilo, and formerly of Nanakuli, Oahu, died Oct. 8 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired corrections officer with the state of Department of Public Safety at the Halawa Correctional Facility on Oahu and the Hawaii Community Correctional Center in Hilo, member of Kaumana Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Hogs, Hui Makai Motorcycle Club and the Kaumana Alenaio Kumiai, and a U.S. Army veteran.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. Oct. 18 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary Makai Chapel on Oahu for a 6:30 p.m. service. The family requests casual attire be work and that flowers be omitted. Lei are welcomed.
He is survived by wife, Mercedes Aipoalani of Hilo; Daughters, Colleen (Don Jr.) Ahuna of San Bruno, Calif., and Juby Aipoalani of Hilo; god daughter, Chelsea Aipoalani of Honolulu; brothers, John (Phyllis) Aipoalani of Waianae, Oahu, Joy (Roxanne) Aipoalani of Kaneohe, Oahu, Jan Michael Aipoalani of Waianae, Oahu, James (Mel) Aipoalani of Mililani, Oahu, and Joseph (Terri) Aipoalani II, of Nanakuli, Oahu; sister, Juby (Eassie) Miller of Kahului, Maui; two grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, neices, nephews and cousins.

Gayle Johnson
Gayle Schouborg Johnson, 78, of Kailua-Kona and formerly of Bonita, Calif., died Sept. 23, 2016, at her residence. Born May 16, 1938, in Beatrice, Nebraska, she was a homemaker, retired music and piano teacher and a member of Alpha Chi Omega XI Chapter, University of Nebraska. She also served on the Chula Vista Planning Commission.

She is survived by husband, Jim Johnson of Kailua-Kona; son, Robert (Mary) Johnson of Bonita, Calif.; daughters, Deborah Johnson of Valley Center, Calif., Beth Daniel of Palm Desert, Calif.; brother, Gary (Nini) Schouborg of Walnut Creek, Calif.; two granddaughters; numerous cousins.

Patricia Hoapili-Brown
Patricia “Paddy” Hunamaikalani Wagner Hoapili-Brown, 79, of Hilo, died Oct. 1, 2016, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Oct. 19, 1936, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker, a Konawaena High School graduate, usher for Consolidated Move Theater in Hilo and member of Kona Kai Opua, Alu Like and Hui Malama.

She is survived by sons, Francis Brown Jr. of Hilo, Taurean (Marlene) Brown of Lahaina, Maui, and Vincent (Hanalei Gomes) Ngaden of Keaau; daughters, Eileen (Kuulei Sorcey) Brown of Hilo, Joanne (Robert Aguiar) Brown and Ululani (Alejandro Ayala) Brown of Lahaina, Maui, June (Vincent) Ngaden and Kristine Ngaden of Keaau; hanai daughter, Susan Damo of Hilo; stepmother, Harriett Wagner of Lahaina, Maui; step-brothers, Leeroy Wagner, Vernon (Debbie) Wagner and Aaron (Jamie) Wagner, all from Lahaina, Maui; step-sister, Joanne Phillips of Lahaina, Maui; numerous grandchildren; a great-grandson; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
