David Kirbo

David P. Kirbo, 61, of Kailua-Kona, died Oct. 10, 2016, at Life Care Center of Kona. He was born in Alaska on June 6, 1955.

He has no known survivors.

Perfecto Carbonero

Perfecto “Dong” Paredes Carbonero, 56, of Hawaiian Paradise Park, died Sept. 27, 2016. Born March 6, 1960, in Cebu City, Philippines, he was a client at The Arc of Pahoa. No services are planned.

He is survived by brother, Adelo Carbonero of Hawaiian Paradise Park; sisters, Maria (Anthony) Kubera and Carol (Johnson) Kalawe, both of Pahoa; niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jason Keahilihau

Jason “Uncle Jay” Momi Keahilihau, 59, of Pahoa, died Sept. 18, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 4, 1956 in Hilo, he was a security guard for Keaau High School, a musician for numerous groups; and a member of Koa Puna Motorcycle Club.

Private services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Monica Keahilihau of Pahoa; mother, Miulan Keahilihau of Pahoa; brother, Joey Keahilihau of Pahoa; sister, Jewel Mae Keahilihau of California; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Grace Manliguis

Grace Sueno Manliguis, 87, of Hilo, died Oct. 9, 2016, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. She was born April 2, 1929, in Waipahu. She was a loyal, faithful, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and a member of the Saint Francis School Alumni Association.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Oct. 19 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo. Wake service is at at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 20 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.; burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.

She is survived by, husband, Albert “Al” Manliguis of Hilo; sons, Mark Manliguis of Las Vegas, Myles Manliguis of Honolulu, Myron Manliguis of Hilo, Mel (Misa) Manliguis of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Maury (Mariel) Manliguis of San Dimas, Calif.; daughters, Lynette (Dennis) Hansen of Chesapeake, Va., Maresa (Tony) Pipkin of Las Vegas, and Marelyn Manliguis of Hilo; brother, Norman (Arleen) Kawamoto of Pacific Palisades, Oahu; sisters, Helen (Edward) Buono of Laguna Hills, Calif., Beatrice Stutevoss of San Antonio and Ethel (Raymond) Shiroma of Mililani, Oahu; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
