The state library system has announced Oct. 25-29 as this year’s annual Count Week.

During this time, volunteers are needed at Thelma Parker Library in Waimea to record the number of patrons and tourists that come through the main doors, all items looked at but not checked out, and the number of items checked out, returned and shipped to other libraries within the state.

To volunteer for one hour or more, call 887-6067 during the library’s open hours or sign-up sheets are provided in the Volunteer Room.
