As a part of next Thursday’s monthly Waimea Community Association meeting, attendees are invited to meet at 4:30 p.m. at the Waimea District Park, located adjacent to the Parker Ranch Arena, for a still-under-construction site tour.
Participants can park on Ala Ohia near the entrance, and must wear sturdy, covered shoes and long pants/slacks or skirts.
The community meeting will follow at Waimea School Cafeteria beginning at 5:30 p.m., including a potluck dinner. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share.
The evening will be Mahalo Night for Mayor Billy Kenoi and his administration for the new park and other projects that have benefited Waimea, North Hawaii and the island.
