On Sept. 3, various items including power tools, jewelry, household items, personal documents and blank checks were taken from a home on 15th Avenue in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision.

Investigation led police to Carvalho, who was arrested Wednesday in Orchidland and taken to the Hilo police cellblock.

On Friday, she was brought up on charges including burglary, theft, habitual property crimes, promoting a harmful drug, four counts of unauthorized possession of confidential information and 10 counts of forgery.

Carvalho remains in the cellblock pending her initial court appearance, which is set for Monday. Bail has been set at $195,000.
