On June 9, a 65-year-old man reported that his home on Road 9 in the Hawaiian Acres subdivision had been broken into and that household items had been removed, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Investigation led to the identity of a suspect identified as 42-year-old Billymack Moore of Pahoa.

Police arrested him Thursday while he was in police custody for unrelated offenses and charged him with first-degree burglary and fourth-degree theft. His bail was set at $10,250.

He is being held in the Hilo police cellblock pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Friday.
