UPDATE: Hawaii Island police located Mary Jane Anderson Thursday evening in Pahoa.

Hawaii Island police are searching for a 38-year-old Pahoa woman who was reported missing.

Mary Jane Anderson, who may also go by the names Mary Jane Sheppard or Mary Jane Suerte, was last seen around 9 a.m. Thursday in the area of Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo.

She is described as Filipino, 4-foot-5 inches tall, weighing 120-125 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was wearing a fluorescent green T-shirt with black sleeves and dark jeans, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call Officer Christopher Jelsma at 961-2213 or the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
