Comedian Ian Edwards comes to the Big Island for a two-show tour Thursday and Sept. 9.

The first show is 8 p.m. Sept. 8 at Hilo Town Tavern and the second is at 8 p.m. Sept. 9 at My Bar in Kailua-Kona. The minimum age to attend the Hilo show is 18 and the Kona show is 21.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets for the Kona show can be purchased at Matsuyama Food Mart, both Kona Coffee & Tea Co., Oshima Surf, My Bar, or at www.brownpapertickets.com.

Born in England, raised in Jamaica, and moved to New York with his family when he was 17, Edwards launched his career through stand-up comedy. Edwards has written on MTV’s “The Lyricist Lounge Show,” ABC’s “The Big House” and was a regular cast member on season 6 of MTV’s “Punk’d.”

He released his debut comedy album, “100% Half Assed” in 2014.
