WAIKOLOA VILLAGE — The Waikoloa Village Market will convert to a full KTA Super Stores location Thursday, becoming the chain’s sixth location.
The Waikoloa store opened as a partner location in 1990 and recently began accepting KTA Super Stores specials and coupons. Becoming a “full-fledged member” of the chain will provide customers with the full line of KTA products and in-store promotions, according to a press release.
The store will be re-named “KTA Super Stores Waikoloa Village.”
Along with the name change will come new job opportunities for area residents. The press release indicated that the store will be hiring cashiers, courtesy and stock clerks and deli cooks.
Those interested in the open positions can pick up applications at any KTA Super Stores location or find the application online at www.ktasuperstores.com/careers.
Those applications should be returned to any KTA Customer Service Center throughout the island.
Jay Sagucio will serve as store director, the release stated.
The store marks the island’s sixth location on the island since its founding in 1916.
“It has been quite a journey,” said KTA Super Stores chairman Barry Taniguchi. “Together we have persevered through natural disasters, world wars, recessions, and some truly uncertain times. I believe the special bond found in the people of our communities is truly the essence of the aloha spirit. We always come together to solve the problems with a clear desire to create a better future for our island and families.”
