Dorothy Andersen
Dorothy Joanne Andersen, 87, of Honokaa died July 24, 2016, at the North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, she was a beloved wife and stay at home mother, a secretary at Christians Anti-Communism Crusade, active member of Honokaa United Methodist Church.
Friends may call at 2 p.m. Sept. 3 at Honokaa United Methodist Church for a service. Light refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dorothy Joanne Andersen to Honokaa United Methodist Church Music Ministry.
She is survived by son, Martin (Janet) Andersen of San Clemente, Calif.; daughters, Maren (Terry) Lambeth of Honokaa, Martha (Jim) Haskins of Arlington, Texas, Margaux Dyson of Paso Robles, Calif.; brothers, Tim (Jean) Storvick of Canada, Dan (Louise) Storvick of Prescott, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Shyanne Kuhns
Shyanne Puanani Race Kuhns, 28, of Kailua-Kona died July 27, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born March 22, 1988, in Honolulu, she was a cashier at Kailua-Kona’s Kmart store.
A celebration of life will be held at noon, Sept. 3 at Old Kona Airport’s double pavilion. The family requests casual attire.
She is survived by mother, Nalani (Al) Kuhns-English of Kailua-Kona; father, Charles (Fay) Medeiros of Oahu; brothers, Makoa Medeiros and Kaeo Medeiros, both of Kailua, Oahu, Jonathan English of Wahiawa, Oahu; sisters, Lia Medeiros of Oahu, Fanny English of Wahiawa, Oahu; maternal grandmother, Puanani (Brocky) Race-Joaquin of Honokaa; maternal grandfather, Richard (Carol) Kuhns, Sr., of Pearl City, Oahu; hanai parents, Rick and Shereen Kuhns of Kailua, Oahu; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Florindo Simeon, 67, of Keaau died Aug. 16, 2016, at home. He was born Aug. 21, 1948, in Hilo.

Michael “Mike” Charles Isaacs, 72, of North Kohala died Aug. 12, 2016, at his residence. Born July 22, 1944, in Honolulu, he was a carpenter, rancher, and an advocate for the protection of the Kohala Coast.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. Sept. 10 at Sacred Heart Church in Hawi. Service at 10 a.m.
He is survived by mother, Ruby Isaacs of North Kohala; daughters, Leslie (Reagan Fong) Isaacs of Honolulu, Christine Isaacs of Colorado; sister, Gayle Mishina of Alaska; five grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Takemori Ishiki
Takemori “Sonny” Ishiki, 87, of Kukuihaele died Aug. 5, 2016, at Hale Hoola Hamakua in Honokaa. Born Nov. 12, 1928, in Kukuihaele, he was a retired supervisor from the former Hamakua Sugar Co., member of Honokaa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and former member of the Hamakua Seniors softball team.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
He is survived by wife, Yoshiko Ishiki of Kukuihaele; daughters, Ann Marcia Ishiki, Colleen Ishiki, both of Honolulu; son, Brian (Diane) Ishiki of Waikoloa; brother, Takeo Ishiki of Hilo; sisters, Kikue (Takeo) Toma of Honokaa, Doris (Ray) Zlomke of California, Shirley (Hisashi) Araki of Kaneohe, Oahu; one grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
