Dennis Medeiros
Dennis “Chico” Medeiros, 55, of Hawi died Aug. 2, 2016, at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born Aug. 14, 1960, in Kohala.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. Aug. 27 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hawi for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial will follow at the Catholic cemetery in Hawi. Condolences may be posted at ballardfamilymortuaries.com.
He is survived by mother, Isabella Mahi-Medeiros of Hawi; brothers, Albert Medeiros Jr. of Honolulu, Patrick (Karla) Medeiros of Halaula, Raymond Medeiros of Chicago; sisters, Patricia (Raymond) Kaluau of Kapaau, Joanne (Wayne) Olsen, Cherina (Joseph) Pule, both of Alaska, Sandra Moses, Anuhea (Michael) Spies, both of Hilo, Susan (Richard) Nauka, Debra (Sheldon) Aiona, both of Hawi, Joelyn (Steven) Coito of Halaula; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

George Keanaaina
George Kuhio Keanaaina, 57, of Kalaoa died Aug. 7, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born April 13, 1959, in Kealakekua, he was a mason and volunteer for Hope Services Hawaii.

He is survived by son, Kani Keanaaina of Pahoa; daughters, Nahenahe Keanaaina of Omaha, Nebraska, Hokulani Keanaaina of Ocean View; brothers, Abraham (Susan) Keanaaina Jr. of Honolulu, Robert Keanaaina, Samson Keanaaina, both of Kailua-Kona, Jeffrey (Vicky) Keanaaina of California; sister, Kaya Keanaaina-Arruda of Kalaoa; a granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews.

Aiko Kubo
Aiko Oda Kubo, 89, of Kurtistown died July 15, 2016, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Sept. 3, 1926, in Papaikou, he was a cafeteria cook at Kalanianaole School and member of the Papaikou Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
Private services held.
She is survived by daughter, Kerinne (Michael) Smith of Kurtistown; son, Timothy (Lynn) Kubo of Oahu; sisters, Grace (Shigeo) Tomosada of Hilo, Doris Oda of Seattle, Sharon Oda of Mililani, Oahu, Netlie (Ron) Yokoyama of Hilo; four grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Chikaharu Saito
Chikaharu Saito, 88, of Captain Cook died July 31, 2016, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Feb. 16, 1928, in Kealakekua, he was a heavy equipment mechanic and member of Akitsu Kumiai and Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
Private services will be held. No koden.
He is survived by sister, Doris (Frank) Yamamoto of Captain Cook; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
