Jeanette Simeona
Jeanette Mae Simeona, 80, of Hilo died July 9, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 2, 1935, in Hilo, she was a retired waitress for Orchid Isle Hotel, Hilo Lagoon Hotel and was a cook for CJ’s Restaurant. She was also a professional lei maker.
Friends may call at 6 p.m. Aug. 5 at Ballard Family Mortuary- Hilo for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. Aug. 6 at Malia Puka O Kalani Church in Hilo for a 9 a.m. celebration of life. She is survived by sons, Dudley Nahooikaika, Keith (Brenda) Simeona, Brian (Laurene) Simeona, Alfred (Twinkle) Simeona, Hiram (Kimi) Simeona and Charles (Danette) Simeona, all of Hilo; daughters, Lena Simeona, Cheryl Simeona and Dianne (Marvin) Simeona, all of Hilo; brothers, Charles (Roberta) Nahooikaika of Hilo; sisters, Pauline (Willibrord) Tallett of Oahu, Aile Nahooikaika, Shirley Stillman, both of Hilo; 34 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Glory Akana, 70, of Waimea died July 19, 2016, at her residence. Born Sept. 25, 1945, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker, farmer and member of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.

She is survived by husband, John Akana of Waimea; daughters, Leimomi (Peter) Fernandez of Kapolei, Ursula (Alvin) Chong of Waimea; son, Samuel Plunkett Jr. of Waimea; 10 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard Milo Milligan Jr., 72, of Hilo died July 4, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 30, 1943, in California, he was a retired real estate agent.
