WAIMEA — Expectant mothers coming to North Hawaii Community Hospital for medical appointments and delivery will have fewer steps to walk thanks to several new parking spaces added specifically for them.
“Pregnant women often face challenges even with the most everyday things like walking across a parking lot. These reserved spaces close to our entrances will make life a little easier for our expectant mothers and their families,” said Kehau Kealoha, Family Birthing Unit manager.
Almost 500 babies are delivered at North Hawaii Community Hospital each year.
