Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald is seeking public input on on applicants to replace Third Circuit Family Court Judge Loyd X. Van De Car, who is retiring.
The six people applying for the position are:
Dakota K.M. Frenz, who is in private practice. She is a graduate of Whittier Law School and was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar in 2006.
Paul K. Hamano is in private practice. He is a graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Law (King Hall) and was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar in 1985.
Kevin S. Hashizaki is a deputy prosecuting attorney for the county. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law and was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar in 1995.
Peter K. Kubota is in private practice. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law and was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar in 1989.
Jeffrey W.S. Ng os a senior trial deputy public defender. Ng is a graduate of the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law and was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar in 2002.
J. Stanley Yoshimoto is currently employed as a deputy corporation counsel with the county. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law and was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar in 1992.
