Francis Lee Topliff
Francis Lee Topliff, 89, of Mountain View died July 3, 2016, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Aug. 16, 1926, in Jewell, Kan. he was a retired pastor for the Church of Nazarene and served at the Hilo, Paradise Park, and Molokai Churches. He also was a World War II Navy veteran.
Friends may call at 4:30 p.m. July 26 at the Paradise Park Church of Nazarene Connection Point in Keaau for a 5:30 p.m. service. Casual attire is requested and flowers and lei are welcomed. An urn committal will be held at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2, at noon July 27.
He is survived by wife, Dixie Lee Topliff of Mountain View; son, Leslie (Denise) Topliff of California; daughter, Wrayanna (Mike) Mann of California; brother, Guy Topliff of Missouri; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Louis “Red” James DeRego Jr., 73, of Honokaa died July 16, 2016. He was born May 10, 1943, in Paauhau.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. July 30 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Honokaa for a 10 a.m. service. Casual attire.
He is survived by daughters, Shaurin (Neal) Gonsalves, Tammie (Ross) Birch, Kelsie DeRego, all of Honokaa; son, Dason DeRego of Honokaa; sister, Wendy Lee Pomeroy of Phoenix; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one aunt; one uncle; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sandra “Sandy” Dolores Santos, 57, of Pahoa died July 7, 2016, at home. She was born Aug. 25, 1958, in Honolulu.
Private services will be held at a later date.
She is survived by son, Johnathan (Jasmine) Riveira of Hilo; daughters, Tion Reiner of Las Vegas, Georgia Ann Santos of Mountain View, Tiara Medina-Santos of Hilo; mother, Jeanette Cortez of Pahoa; brothers, Starsky (Sheryl) Cortez of Arizona, Patrick (Doris) Santos, Clifford Santos, both of Mountain View, Brian (Sherie) Santos of Pahoa, Travis (Monica) Santos of Puna; sisters, Darlene (Michael) Santos of Puna, Shana (Michael) Santos, Lacina Pagan, both of Pahoa; companion, Matthew Medina of Puna; nine grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
