HONOLULU (AP) — Bank of Hawaii Corp. on Monday reported second-quarter earnings of $44.2 million.

The Honolulu-based bank said it had earnings of $1.03 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 94 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $150.1 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $149 million.

Bank of Hawaii shares have increased 9 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed roughly 2 percent in the last 12 months.
