WAIMEA — The Queen’s Health Systems has named Cindy Kamikawa, MS, RN, NE, president of North Hawaii Community Hospital.

Kamikawa will assume all day-to-day management responsibilities of the hospital on Aug. 1.

“Cindy has become very familiar with North Hawaii Community Hospital and is very committed to its role in that community,” said Art Ushijima, president and CEO of The Queen’s Health Systems. “With Cindy’s 30-plus years of experience at Queen’s, beginning as a staff nurse to her current role as QHS vice president/chief nursing officer, she will bring substantial support for the many needs at NHCH and is enthusiastically looking forward to this new role.”

In January 2014, North Hawaii Community Hospital became affiliated with The Queen’s Health Systems. Ken Graham, who has served as NHCH’s president under a management service agreement, will have completed his assignment by Sept. 30 to facilitate the transition of the hospital with QHS. From Aug. 1 until his departure at the end of September, he will serve as QHS System integration advisor at NHCH.
