A Hawaiian Airlines jet that declared an in-flight emergency landed without incident Friday morning at Hilo International Airport.
Ian Gregor, public affairs manager with the FAA’s Pacific Division, said the flight from Sacramento, Califnoria, that was bound for Honolulu was diverted because of “a reported smell of smoke in the cabin.
The plane landed without incident at 9:36 a.m., he said.
Gregor said the plane was a Boeing 767.
