The documenary film “Te Kuhane o te Tupuna — Spirit of the Ancestors” will be screened 4 p.m. Sunday at Kahilu Theatre in Waimea.
“Te Kuhane o te Tupuna” is a powerful story of a grandfather and a girl who travel from the most remote island in the world, Easter Island, in search of the sacred power of their ancestors, the mana. The film is in Spanish with English subtitles.
The screening is free, however, a $5 donation is suggested.
