Masao Ochi
Masao Ochi, 97, of Hilo died June 20, 2016, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Puu Oo Ranch, South Hilo, he was the retired proprietor of the former Hilo Quality Cleaners, member of the Hilo Meishoin Mission, Hilo Interpreters Club and a veteran of the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Service during World War II.
Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no monetary gifts.
He is survived by son, Howard (Maureen) Ochi of Moreno Valley, Calif.; daughters, Naomi Kido of Mililani, Oahu, Lynn (Glenn) Nakamura, Audrey (Harold) Mitsuyoshi, both of Hilo; eight grandchildren, two great-grandsons, numerous nieces, nephews.

Einobu Miyashiro
Einobu “Yalo” Miyashiro, 91, of Pepeekeo died May 31, 2016, at the Regency Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired warehouseman with the former C. Brewer and Co. and was also a member of the Honomu Hongwanji Mission.
Private family services were held.
He is survived by wife, Kimie Miyashiro of Kona; son, Gregg (Rhoda) Miyashiro of Hilo; daughter, Patty (Calvin) Okahara of Kona; brother, Isamu Miyashiro of California; sister, Carol Miyashiro of California; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
