Hawaii Island police are seeking public assistance in the identification of a woman wanted for questioning in connection with a theft in North Kohala.

Hawaii Island police are seeking public assistance in the identification of a woman wanted for questioning in connection with a theft in North Kohala.

The unidentified woman was caught on a surveillance camera June 25 lifting a pink silk shawl from a souvenir shop on Akoni Pule Highway in Hawi.

Police request anyone who recognizes the suspect in the photo to contact the Hawaii Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or call Officer Landon Takenishi at 889-4640.
