Hawaii Island police are searching for a 27-year-old man who is wanted on three bench warrants.

Hawaii Island police are searching for a 27-year-old man who is wanted on three bench warrants.

Michael James Varize — also known as Lawrence Fujioka, Larry Fujioka and “Mikey Boy” — is wanted for probation violation and two counts of contempt of court, according to the Hawaii Police Department. He is also wanted for questioning in numerous other investigations. He may be in the North Kohala, South Kohala or Hamakua districts.

He is described as 5-foot-11, 145 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

Police caution the public not to approach him. Instead, anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
